Intensive Holistic Treatment Program

The Arctic Recovery program is open to all Alaska residents ages 18 and older who would like support in completing medical detox. Patients will comfortably detox in a shared space with others, under 24-hour medical supervision, while engaging with staff to determine their next steps in recovery.

Clients will have the opportunity to attend educational sessions, groups and meet with a behavioral health professional if they choose while detoxing.

Arctic Recovery utilizes a discharge planning team to support patients in connecting with their next phase of treatment providers and programs once they detox and no longer meet a 3.7 level of care.

Our services are covered by most major insurance groups including Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, TRICARE® and VA. For those utilizing VA benefits, inpatient substance use services must be approved by the VA prior to admission in order to avoid out-of-pocket costs. We also offer a sliding-scale fee for those who are eligible.

We offer confidential level of care assessments that are available 24/7 to the patient. These assessments are offered in person as well as over the phone if you are not local to the Anchorage area. Please call 907-264-3506 if you have questions about withdrawal management for yourself or a family member.

After the admission process is complete, staff will escort you to your room. If you would like a tour of the unit, please let a staff member know. We are happy to provide a tour to help you become familiar with the environment and feel more comfortable during your stay.  Throughout your stay, providers, nurses, and floor staff will conduct scheduled rounds each day. Your treatment team will regularly review your plan of care, including goals and supports for maintaining your continued sobriety and recovery.
